About: Tania Runyan

A California native, I actually do love the beauty and seasons of northern Illinois! When not spending time with my three cherubic children, playing various instruments, gardening in my greenhouse or writing poetry, I tutor middle and high-school kids in writing, reading comprehension, and the ACT/SAT. A former high school English teacher, I enjoy having the opportunity to continue to torment students, yet now on a more intense, one-on-one basis. As far as poetry goes, I've had pieces published in several journals and anthologies, such as Poetry, The Christian Century, Indiana Review, Atlanta Review, Willow Springs, and A Fine Frenzy: Poets Respond to Shakespeare. Check out my chapbook, Delicious Air, from Finishing Line Press. It was awarded the 2007 Book of the Year from the Conference on Christianity and Literature! My first full-length collection of poetry is due out from WordFarm in 2011. It's killing me that I can't underline these book titles. I mean, really.
